A new judo hall has started operating in the Sahil settlement of the Garadagh district.
Idman.Biz reports that the opening ceremony was attended by Rashad Rasulllu, Executive Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), Natig Bagirov, Advisor to the ACF President, and other officials.
The total area of the hall, equipped with tatami mats that meet modern standards by the ACF, is 100 square meters. The hall also has coaching and changing rooms. The new hall has created conditions for 100 athletes to practice judo.
It should be noted that in 2022–2026, new judo halls were put into operation by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran, Mosul village of Zagatala and Vandam settlement of Gabala. In addition, a total of 14,180 tatami mats were distributed to 198 sports halls in Baku and the regions.
