On the second day of the European Judo Championship among veterans held in Riga, the capital of Latvia, members of the Azerbaijani national team won 3 gold and 1 bronze medals.
"Report" reports that Babek Hajiyev (60 kg), Vagif Kerimov (73 kg) and Emil Huseynov (100 kg) defeated all their rivals in the M-4 age category and became European champions.
Samir Ismayilov (81 kg) took third place in the M-3 age category.
It should be noted that Farhad Rajabli (M-8, -90 kg) also won a gold medal on the first day of the tournament.
Currently, the team is in 4th place in the overall ranking among 37 countries with 5 medals (4 gold, 1 bronze).
