The mini-football tournament dedicated to the memory of the National Leader has ended

The Economic Zones Development Agency (IZEA), with the support of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation and the organization of the "Fire League", has completed a mini-football tournament dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

İdman.Biz reports, citing IZEA, that the tournament, which featured teams from 10 resident companies operating in the Sumgayit Industrial Park, kicked off on May 16. The final games and award ceremony of the two-month competition were held.

In the match for third place, STP and "Azertexnolayn PBZ" faced off. Since the main time ended with a score of 2:2, the winner was determined by a penalty shootout. The "Azertexnolayn PBZ" team, which played more accurately, became the bronze medalist of the tournament.

In the final game, "Assan STP Panel" and "Azerfloat" teams met. In a tense and interesting sports competition, the "Azerfloat" team won with a score of 7:5 and was awarded the title of tournament winner.

After the final game, an award ceremony was held, where the deputy chairman of the IZEA Board, Aqil Azizov, congratulated the winners and all participants. He emphasized that such sports competitions play an important role in promoting unity, cooperation, and a healthy lifestyle among teams.

Then, the winners were awarded cups, medals, and diplomas, and individual awards were presented to the distinguished participants. Azar Mirzayev ("Assan STP Panel") was awarded as the best goalkeeper, Nicat Mammadov ("Azerfloat") as the best player, and Kenan Abdurrahmanov ("Azertexnolayn TAZ") as the most productive player of the tournament.
