"UFC's arrival in Baku opens a new page in the sports history of Azerbaijan."
İdman.biz reports that this was stated by Maqsud Farzullayev, CEO of Baku City Circuit Operations Company.
He expressed his views on the start of ticket sales for the "UFC Fight Night" tournament to be held in Baku today: "Azerbaijan successfully hosts international events. Partnership with UFC is a logical continuation of the dynamic development of our country in the field of sports for many years, the successful sports policy of the country's leadership. I would like to thank all partners and sponsors who have supported the organization of the tournament."
Farzullayev also touched upon the ticket sales for another prestigious event to be held in Baku - the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix: "Less than 5 months are left before the race. Preparations are proceeding rapidly. The results are higher than expected. More than 80 percent of the fans who buy tickets are foreign citizens."
It should be noted that "UFC Fight Night", which will be held in Baku Crystal Hall, will be held on June 21, and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held on September 19-21.
