"Formula 1" races are returning to Istanbul after six years.
Idman.Biz reports, citing Turkish media, that the races will be held at "Istanbul Park" for a full 5 seasons between 2027 and 2031.
The race was first included in the calendar in 2005 and was held continuously until 2011, with the last time being in 2021.
According to reports, the stage could contribute 200–250 million dollars to the Turkish economy each year.
Approximately 200,000 local and foreign fans are expected to visit Istanbul during the race week.
It is noted that this event will both increase tourism revenues and have a significant impact on the country's international promotion.
