Belarusian defender Yegor Khvalko, who previously played for the Azerbaijani club "Kapaz", shared his impressions of his football life in Azerbaijan.
According to Idman.Biz, the football player noted that the years he spent in Azerbaijan left him with positive memories of both the country and the club.
"I felt good in Azerbaijan. Baku is a European city with its own atmosphere and rhythm. The people there are very friendly, and it was comfortable to be in this environment," Betnews.by quoted the football player.
The football player added that the psychological stress in Azerbaijan was greater due to Kapaz's struggle for survival, but this gave him valuable experience that would help him later.
Speaking about football infrastructure, Khvalko emphasized that Azerbaijan has made significant progress:
"Several new stadiums have been built in Azerbaijan, including in Ganja, where I played. We had excellent facilities with two natural pitches. Many clubs have good bases. But some stadiums, especially those with artificial turf, need renovation. The weather conditions allow the championship to be held entirely on natural pitches."
Yegor Khvalko spent three seasons in Azerbaijan and noted that this period helped him mature as a player and adapt to different football conditions.
