Bayer does not intend to prevent Xabi Alonso from moving to Real Madrid. The Leverkusen club knows that the Spanish specialist wants to lead the Royal Club. Alonso rejected Bayern's offer to become head coach a year ago for this reason. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano announced this on the X social network (formerly Twitter).
According to the source, the 43-year-old specialist is the main candidate to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of Real Madrid.
It should be noted that Alonso's current contract with the German club runs until the end of the 2025/2026 season.
