Vahid Alakbarov's son, Yusif Alakbarov, has left Spartak's Board of Directors. Sport24.az reports that the "RBK-Sport" portal has released information about this.
Russian media associates this step by the son of the founder of Lukoil with the sanctions imposed on him by the United States. Alakbarov Jr. considered it necessary to resign from his post because he did not want the "people's team" to suffer because of him.
It should be noted that Yusif Alakbarov has been a member of Spartak's Board of Directors since 2021 and owns 0.2 percent of Lukoil's shares.
