Otto John asked us to let him go to another club.
This was stated to "Report" by Ali Balakishiyev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of "Turan Tovuz", Director for Infrastructure and Finance of the club.
He spoke about the reasons for the departure of striker Otto John, who unexpectedly left the western representative:
"Some Azerbaijani clubs also wanted to transfer Otto John. At the same time, there were several foreign teams who wanted to see him in their squads. In addition to "Al Madina", another team sent us an application for Otto John. They had been negotiating with the player beforehand. In fact, we really wanted him to stay in the team. But the other side offered him a good salary, and Otto John asked us not to hinder the transfer. We saw that he really wanted to leave, and we didn't hold back those who left. Since he had a contract with "Turan Tovuz", the other side had to pay a certain amount".
It should be noted that Otto John left "Turan Tovuz" and signed a contract with the Libyan club "Al Madina".
