Sumgayit captain Vugar Mustafayev may end his career at the end of the season.
The footballer himself announced this in a statement to Sport24.az.
The experienced player emphasized that he wanted to take this step due to pain in his knee:
"I have severe pain in my knee. This has been going on for several years. I may end my career at the end of the season. Because the pain does not allow me to play comfortably on the field. Although not yet certain, I will most likely end my career at the end of the season."
It should be noted that the experienced midfielder has played for teams such as Qarabag, Zira, and Simurq during his career. He has been playing for Sumgayit since 2019.
