A seminar on match-fixing was held for members of the MOIK club, which competes in the Azerbaijan I League. Sport24.az reports that Seymur Salimli, UEFA's responsible representative for the integrity of matches, gave lectures on the topics "What should we know as a football community about match-fixing or match manipulation?" and "Our goal is to protect you and our football", and made informative and reporting presentations.
Important issues on the topic of fighting against "Match-fixing" were discussed at the seminar, and experience was exchanged.
Local and international examples of match-fixing were presented to the seminar participants. The participants were informed about the Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions, a number of additions and amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Physical Culture and Sports, as well as additions and amendments to the Disciplinary Code of the Disciplinary Committee.
