Only the match of the XXIII round between these teams had more spectators. The "Neftchi" – "Qarabağ" match (0:1) at the "Neftchi Arena" was watched by 9,355 spectators.
Interestingly, the 3rd best attendance of the season also belongs to the Azerbaijan derby. The "Neftchi" – "Qarabağ" (0:3) match of the XV round at the "Neftchi Arena" had 7,069 spectators.
It should be noted that the 4th result in terms of the number of spectators belongs to the "Sumgayit" – "Qarabağ" match (0:1) of the IX round. 7,000 spectators were recorded at the match at the Sumgayit city stadium named after Mehdi Huseynzade.
