"Neftchi" team's preparation for the season has been at a high level. Sport24.az reports that this was stated by "Neftchi"'s head coach Samir Abasov in a statement to journalists.
"The situation in the team is good. Our preparation has been at a high level. We understand the pressure in the championship. Our name is the target. We will play for our name. If we play with this goal, we will achieve what we want at the end of the season," the expert emphasized.
He said that they have made many changes in the squad:
"This will not pass without effect. We believe that everything will be fine. I think we have attracted good and quality players to the squad."
According to Abasov, the fact that three teams play in Shamakhi in the championship worries them excessively.
He added that transfer operations are still ongoing.
It should be noted that the 2025/2026 season in the Misli Premier League will start on August 15. "Neftchi" will host "Shamakhi" on August 16 at 20:00.
