Ruy Jorge is satisfied with the preparation process of the U-20 team

Idman.Biz reports that the team's head coach Ruy Jorge said this in a statement to journalists.

The head coach explained the reason for not holding a test match during the training camp:

"I wanted to get to know the players better, to be familiar with our training principles. We need to know where to start before friendly matches. My initial impressions are good. I am satisfied with the players' approach. They are very eager, which is in line with our game philosophy. They want to learn."

The Portuguese specialist said that the training camp went well:

"The members of the Azerbaijani national team under the age of 20 are very eager. We are very satisfied with this preparation process. They are very eager."

R. Jorge added that there will be a friendly match in the second training camp:

"Most likely, we will play with a foreign team. We will create a team that every Azerbaijani will be proud of. We are participating in the World Championship as the organizing country. We know that we have a difference with other teams. For this, we will work hard every day to reduce the difference."

It should be noted that U-20 will be in training camp in Gabala until April 26. The team will participate in the FIFA U-20 World Championship, which will be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027.
