Filip Glova, who will officiate the match between "Qarabag" and Romanian club FCSB in the UEFA Europa League, has been appointed to matches of Azerbaijani representatives before.
According to "Report", the 35-year-old referee has officiated matches of the main and U-21 national teams of Azerbaijan, as well as "Qarabag" in the European Cups.
The first such match dates back to 2018. In the European Championship qualifying round match managed by the U-21 FIFA referee, they lost to Ireland on the road - 0:1.
F. Glova came to our country in 2019. He was the chief referee of the "Qarabag" - APOEL (Cyprus) match (2:2) in the group stage of the Europa League.
The referee, who has been internationally appointed since 2016, also blew the whistle in 2020 in the match where the Azerbaijani national team defeated Cyprus 1:0 on the road.
It should be noted that the "Qarabag" - FCSB match of the VII round of the League stage of the UEFA Europa League will be held on January 23 at 21:45 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium. In the tournament table, the Azerbaijani champion is 33rd with 3 points, and FCSB is 10th with 11 points.
