Rahid Amirguliyev: "Qarabag" has little chance of the next stage

"Qarabag" has little chance of the next stage. There have been many point losses so far. They were unlucky in some matches." These thoughts were voiced by Rahid Amirguliyev, the former football player of the Azerbaijani national team and "Qarabag", in his statement to Sport24.az.

The 35-year-old midfielder, who plays for "Shahdag Gusar", touched upon the match that "Qarabag" will hold against the Romanian representative FCSB in the UEFA Europa League:

"The opponent is a famous team. They make a good impression in the European Cup this season. It will be a very difficult game for "Qarabag". But our representative will play in front of their home fans. "Qarabag" is a team that can show its game against any team. No matter how difficult it is, I believe we will win. Juninho's transfer to Flamengo may have an impact. However, I am confident that they will get three points."

Rahid Amirguliyev participated in matches against another Romanian club, Universitatea (Craiova), in the first qualifying round of the Europa League as part of "Sabail" in 2019.

The experienced player said that the opponent was strong at that time:

"Sabail" was also competing in the European Cup for the first time in its history. Despite all this, we did not perform badly. We lost both matches with a score of 2:3. Romania has good teams, we had difficulty playing against them."

It should be noted that the "Qarabag" - FCSB match, which will be held on January 23 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, will start at 21:45.
