The International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) will have to pay compensation to Barcelona for the injury to striker Rafinha. This is because his recovery period will exceed the minimum 28-day absence required under the Club Protection Programme.
Lent.az reports that on March 27, Barcelona announced that Rafinha had injured the hamstring of his right thigh. It was reported that the 29-year-old footballer is expected to recover in approximately five weeks.
According to reports, if Rafinha actually returns to the field after five weeks, on April 28–29, the Catalan club will receive a minimum compensation of 143,836 euros. This amount will further increase for each additional day exceeding five weeks.
