Former Belgian national team player, and former player of Inter and Roma, Radja Nainggolan has been arrested. Sport24.az reports that "Corriere dello Sport" has reported this.
Nainggolan is suspected of drug trafficking and has been arrested by Brussels police. Law enforcement officers detained the 36-year-old athlete today.
The midfielder signed a contract with Lokeren-Temse, which plays in the second division of the Belgian championship, on January 22.
It is reported that Nainggolan's arrest occurred during an investigation into organized crime related to the distribution of cocaine in Belgium. Interrogations are currently ongoing. The footballer is accused of participating in international drug trafficking. According to reports, Radja helped smuggle cocaine from South America to Europe through a port in Belgium.
