"We had losses in the squad. Zaur Pashayev had not recovered. His absence means half of the team is missing. Nevertheless, the players fought until the end." Sport24.az reports that this was stated by the head coach of "Quba" Shahriyar Asgarov in a statement to the club's press service after the match with "Shaki" (56:78) in the XI round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
The coach said that there were losses in the squad:
"The scenario from previous games continued. The fact that our new transfer Jalen Reynolds could not arrive in time to undergo a medical examination made our job a little more difficult. Our next game is against "Ganja". We will go to this match to win. By that time, Zaur will recover, and Jalen will be able to play. I think it will be a completely different game. Neither "Ganja" nor "Shaki" are teams that we cannot beat. We showed this in three periods. The lack of squad depth simply played a role."
