The wing defender shared his thoughts on the match against the Sierra Leone national team within the framework of the "FIFA Series - 2026" international tournament.
Qismət Alıyev stated that such matches are very important for the team in the preparation stage for the UEFA Nations League. According to him, the national team's ending of the long winless streak has increased the players' self-confidence:
"Tomorrow's match will be another important test for our team. Holding such meetings is of great importance for us in the preparation process. For a while, we could not
win, but in the last game we managed to break this unsuccessful series by performing confidently. We will do our best on the field in tomorrow's match to please our fans."
