"Qarabag" captain Badavi Huseynov became the champion of Azerbaijan for the 11th time.
According to "Report", referring to the official website of the Professional Football League, the 34-year-old defender repeated the record of Mahmud Gurbanov by securing the gold medal of the 2024/2025 season of the Misli Premier League with his team.
Huseynov, who has been playing for the Aghdam club since the summer of 2012, won all his titles with his current team. The defender has previously won the title of Azerbaijani champion in the 2013/2014, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2019/2020, 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 seasons.
With this, Badavi Huseynov repeated the record in the history of Azerbaijani championships. He reached the indicator belonging to Mahmud Gurbanov. The former midfielder won 11 gold medals in 6 different clubs. He experienced this joy in "Kapaz" (1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99), "Neftchi" (1996/97, 2003/04, 2004/05), "Shamkir" (1999/2000, 2000/01), "Khazar Lankaran" (2006/07), "Inter" (2007/08) and "Baku" (2008/09).
