"Qarabag" has achieved a new record in the Azerbaijan Cup.
"Report" reports with reference to the official website of the Professional Football League that the Aghdam club has reached the final of the tournament for the 12th time in its history.
The team, coached by Gurban Gurbanov, eliminated "Araz-Nakhchivan" from the semi-finals – 0:1, 3:0. Thus, "Qarabag", which qualified for the final for the 12th time, surpassed "Neftchi", who achieved this 11 times.
The Aghdam representative won the cup in 8 of the previous 11 finals - in the 1993, 2005/2006, 2008/2009, 2014/2015, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2021/2022, 2023/2024 seasons. It lost in the final three times - in the 1995/1996, 1997/1998 and 1999/2000 seasons.
