"It's always difficult to play against "Qarabagh".
Idman.biz reports that Qara Garayev, a football player of "Araz-Nakhchivan", said this in his statement to AZERTAC while talking about the game in which they lost to "Qarabagh" with a score of 0:3 in the return match of the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup.
He stated that they fought well on the field: "We were able to build good attacks. We had real goal chances. If we could have taken advantage of our opportunities, perhaps there could have been a different scenario".
Garayev said that two episodes in the match were open to debate: "There were two mysterious episodes during the game. Firstly, in my opinion, the situation between Carlos Jatoba and Bahlul Mustafazade was a penalty. According to the referee, there was nothing serious there. We can't say anything either. The second was Yassin Benzia's action. The referee only showed a yellow card in that episode".
The experienced midfielder said that "Araz-Nakhchivan" deserves good places: "We had serious problems with the squad after January. I also didn't play for a month. It took time for the injured players to return and reach their optimal form. Nevertheless, we will fight to the end. Going to the European Cups will be a stimulus for us".
It should be noted that the Nakhchivan club said goodbye to the cup, losing to "Qarabagh" with a score of 1:3 based on the results of two meetings.
