Our national team's opponent in the qualifying round will face Scotland in June

The Icelandic national team, Azerbaijan's opponent in Group D of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, will play two friendly matches in June. Sport24.az reports that Iceland's first opponent will be Scotland. This meeting will take place on June 6 in Glasgow.

 

The name of the second opponent has not yet been announced.

 

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Iceland matches will take place on September 5 and November 13.
