A draw ceremony was held to determine the nominal home team for the Azerbaijan Cup final match.
QOL.az reports, citing the PFL website, that representatives of the Professional Football League, "Qarabağ" and "Sabah" clubs participated in the ceremony. The PFL was represented by Elchin Mehtiyev, Head of the Department for Organizing and Registration of Competitions, "Qarabağ" by manager Farid Agayev, and "Sabah" by Executive Director Parvin Piriyev.
According to the draw, "Qarabağ" became the nominal home team.
After the draw, an extensive meeting was held between club representatives and the Professional Football League. Elgiz Abbasov, Technical and Sports Director of the Professional Football League, and Sanan Abdullayev, Media and Marketing Director, also participated in the meeting. The meeting discussed initial organizational matters related to the final and issues to be taken into account.
It should be noted that the final match of the Azerbaijan Cup will be held on May 31 at the Sumgayit city stadium named after Mehdi Huseynzade. The match will start at 19:00.
