"Qarabağ" has set a new record in the Azerbaijan Cup. The Aghdam club has reached the final of the tournament for the 12th time in its history.
İdman.biz reports that the team coached by Gurban Gurbanov eliminated "Araz-Nakhchivan" in the semi-finals – 0:1, 3:0.
Thus, "Qarabağ", having qualified for the final for the 12th time, surpassed "Neftçi", which achieved this 11 times.
The Aghdam representative won the cup in 8 of the previous 11 finals - 1993, 2005/06, 2008/09, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2021/22, 2023/24 seasons. They lost in the final three times - 1995/96, 1997/98 and 1999/2000 seasons.
