"Neftchi" has scored its 1600th goal in the Azerbaijani championships.
According to "Report", citing the official website of the Professional Football League, Andrey Shtogrin scored the jubilee goal.
He was the author of the last goal in the away match against "Sumgayit" (2:2) in the XXXII round of the Misli Premier League, which saved his team from defeat. The Baku club scored its 1600th goal in the national championships, which have been held since 1992, in its 957th match.
The average performance of the "Black and Whites" is 1.67. The capital's representative scored 923 goals at home, 657 away, and 20 on neutral ground.
"Neftchi" is the 2nd team in the history of the competition to score 1600 or more goals. "Garabagh" has 1606 goals.
It should be noted that "Neftchi" scored its first goal in national championships in a match against "Khazar", another representative of Sumgayit, on May 8, 1992. Yunis Huseynov scored the historic goal.
