Fenerbahçe drew 0-0 with Lyon in the 7th round of the Europa League group stage. Sport24.az reports that Fenerbahçe's head coach Jose Mourinho was dissatisfied with the refereeing of the game.
He said this in a statement to journalists after the match:
"There were wrong decisions in the match. Lyon player Kumbendi should have received a red card. Later, Niakate was initially shown a red card, but VAR changed the decision and made the right decision this time. However, Kubmendi grabbed our player Szymanski by the throat and knocked him to the ground, but didn't even get a yellow card. The referee had a big impact on the game.
VAR's job is to help the referees. Mistakes can happen, but VAR shouldn't do that."
