Romania national team's head coach Mircea Lucescu said he lost consciousness after rewatching the play-off semi-final of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Sport24.az reports that the 80-year-old specialist made a statement to "Golazo":
"I couldn't breathe and I lost consciousness. I'm fine now. I got nervous after rewatching the game with Turkey. We made incredible mistakes that prevented us from moving to the next stage."
It should be noted that the Romanian national team, led by Lucescu, lost to Turkey 0:1 in the play-off semi-final of the 2026 World Cup and lost the chance to go to the World Cup.
