Romanian national team head coach Mircea Lucescu has been hospitalized after his health deteriorated.
"Report" reports that the press service of the Romanian Football Federation has released information about this.
"Currently, the coach's condition is stable. However, in accordance with existing medical protocols and to exclude any risks, Mircea Lucescu has been taken to a hospital in the capital for comprehensive examination and specialized monitoring," the statement said.
The Portuguese newspaper "A Bola" noted that 80-year-old Lucescu lost consciousness during a technical meeting before the last training session on March 31, on the eve of the friendly match against the Slovak team. According to the publication, the specialist may have suffered a heart attack.
