Sport.Biz reports that Anselmi's contract with the club is until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
Anselmi has only played football at the youth level, and then immediately started his coaching career. He has previously managed Chile's "Union La Calera", Colombia's "Independente del Valle", Mexico's "Cruz Azul", Portugal's "Porto" and Brazil's "Botafoqo".
Last season, "Elche" finished 15th in the Spanish top division. Throughout its history, the club has won the Segunda División twice.
