"Qarabağ" captain Badavi Huseynov has become the Azerbaijani champion for the 11th time.
Idman.biz reports that the 34-year-old defender, along with his team, secured the gold medal of the 2024/25 season of the Misli Premier League in the XXXII round.
Huseynov, who has been playing for the Aghdam club since the summer of 2012, has won all his titles with his current team. The defender had previously won the title of Azerbaijani champion in the 2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons.
With this, Badavi repeated the record in the history of Azerbaijani championships. He reached the indicator belonging to Mahmud Gurbanov. The former midfielder won 11 gold medals with 6 different clubs. He experienced this joy in "Kapaz" (1994/95, 1997/98, 1998/99), "Neftchi" (1996/97, 2003/04, 2004/05), "Shamkir" (1999/2000, 2000/01), "Khazar Lankaran" (2006/07), "Inter" (2007/08) and "Baku" (2008/09).
