An interview with Bahruz Teymurov, the forward of "Karvan" playing in the First League, for Sport24.az.
- You defeated "Jabrayil" and secured a place in the Premier League. What are your impressions?
- It was clear to everyone from the beginning that the championship would be intense. Because from the first round, 3 teams were competing for the championship. We, the football players, including our head coach Kenan, did everything we could to get to the elite, and thank God, we achieved our goal.
- What difficulties does "Karvan" have in terms of infrastructure?
- We have no difficulties in terms of infrastructure. "Karvan" is a rooted team. As you know, we participated in the Premier League in the past. Since then, our structure has been preserved. In addition, we have built a new base that meets all modern standards. Our only difficulty is with the grass cover of our field. The management will solve it as soon as possible.
- Are you planning to stay at the club next season?
- I can't say anything now about whether I will stay in the team next season or not. The club, not me, will decide on this. But if they offer me to stay, I will gladly help my team with all my heart.
- You can play in the elite again. What feelings are you experiencing?
- I am happy to be playing in the Premier League again after a long time.
- A tense fight for second place continues. "Imishli" is one point ahead of you. Will it not be difficult to win the silver medal?
- Yes, "Imishli" is currently 1 point ahead of us. Mathematically, this is a very small difference. Perhaps this factor will cause us to go to the next games with maximum motivation. After "Gabala" formalized the championship, our goal is 2nd place. God willing, we will do our best for this as well.
- You share the first place in the top scorer competition with your teammate Emil Gasimov. Who do you think will be the winner in the end?
- Despite the fact that we are in the first 2 places in the top scorer competition, we do not think about this. It does not matter to us who scores the goals of our team. The main thing is that we win victories and achieve our goal. But in the end, I would very much like our young and talented striker Emil Gasimov to have this honor.
