"We knew we were playing against one of the best teams in the championship. The opponent has a good team and a well-established squad." These words were said by "Kapaz" football player Ehtiram Shahverdiyev in his statement to Sport24.az.
The 28-year-old player shared his thoughts on the Misli Premier League 32nd round game, which they lost 0:1 at home to "Zira":
"Despite all this, we also wanted to score points in this match and further strengthen our position. We went to the field to win. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. I congratulate "Zira". I can't say what caused the defeat. But we still have a few games ahead. We intend to work hard and earn points in these matches."
Shahverdiyev also spoke about "Sabail" drawing in the last round and reducing the point difference to seven:
"I don't think this will create a problem for us and will not affect our upcoming games. Because we will prepare for the next matches with all our strength to achieve good results."
It should be noted that "Kapaz" will face "Neftchi" away in the 33rd round. The meeting, which will take place on May 4, will start at 20:00.
