IOC Vice-President Expressed Hope That a New Strategy Will Lead to Progress in Football in Azerbaijan

A new strategy is being developed. I hope that as a result, football in Azerbaijan will develop and reach the required level.

According to "Report", this was stated by Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan (NOC), at the AFFA Reporting Conference.

The NOC official said that after gaining independence, we proved to the whole world that we could achieve high results:

"The main thing is to have the desire. I believe that the new leadership of AFFA will achieve this. A year has passed quickly. This year our national teams performed poorly. This does not mean that we will not have results in team sports. The Azerbaijani 3x3 basketball team took 7th place at the Paris Olympics. I hope that our national football team will also take part in the next Olympics."
