"Imishli"'s head coach: "Except for the goalkeeper position..."

Farid Namazov, the head coach of "Imishli," a representative of the First League, gave an interview to Sport24.az. He talked about his team's winter plans and transfer activities.

- When did you start preparing for the second round?
- We gathered together yesterday. There are players who have left the team. We plan to fill the gap with new transfers.

- Are there any players you have already agreed with?
- There are those we are in talks with. I don't want to mention their names yet, as we haven't formalized the relationship. However, there will be new players joining the team. We are looking for new players in all positions except the goalkeeper position.

- How many test matches do you plan to hold during the break?
- We will hold a test match. However, due to Imishli's geographical location being far from other regions, we will be forced to play with "Kur-Araz," which plays in the Second League.

- How do you assess "Imishli"'s chances of winning a ticket to the Premier League after the winter break?
- We are aiming to win a ticket to the Premier League. It's true that the difference in points with the leader is currently 8. We will try to reduce the difference and fight for the championship.

- I guess you are keeping an eye on your main rivals in the championship, as well as your own team...
- Frankly, I don't have much information about our rivals. We are more focused on our own team. We just get news that they are also active in transfers. Teams are trying to strengthen their squads for the second half of the season. There may be new surprises.
