Burnley midfielder Hannibal Mejbri has been banned for 4 games for spitting at a Leeds fan.
Lent.az reports with reference to foreign media that Burnley defeated Leeds 2-0 at home in the 8th round of the Premier League. After the match, one of the visiting team's fans claimed that Mejbri had spat on him.
Mejbri's actions were investigated by the Football Association (FA) and Lancashire Police. As a result, the 22-year-old footballer admitted his guilt, received a 4-match ban and was fined £15,000.
In the 2025/26 season, Mejbri played 14 games in all tournaments and made one assist.
