"Report" informs that the head coach of "Qarabagh" Gurban Gurbanov said this at the press conference held after the first match against "Sabail" in the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup.
The specialist spoke about the match they won:
"Today we beat a very good team. They increased the pace of the game with the changes in the second half. "Sabail" behaved very correctly on the field both with and without the ball. I congratulate my players, they were very eager. This is just the first game. The return match may be even more tense."
G. Gurbanov commented on the transfer of Kadi Borges, who was newly recruited to the team:
"We had a chance to involve Kadi in our ranks, and we took advantage of it. "Ferencvaros" (Hungary) sent us an offer for Julio Romao. We welcomed this offer and transferred Kadi Borges based on negotiations."
It should be noted that in the first match of the 1/4 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup, "Qarabagh" won against "Sabail" 1:0 away.
