Germany's internal goal for the 2026 World Cup is to reach the quarterfinals.
According to information from Idman.Biz citing Sky Sport Germany, if they achieve this goal, the German Football Association (DFB) will consider the national team's performance successful.
In the 2018 and 2022 World Cups, Germany failed to advance from the group stage.
In the 2026 World Cup, the German national team will play in a group with Curaçao (June 14), Côte d'Ivoire (June 20), and Ecuador (June 25).
The group stage will take place from June 11 to 27. Teams will play each other in a round-robin system (each team playing three games). The top two teams from each group, as well as the eight best third-placed teams, will qualify for the playoffs.
