The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has suspended Manuel Arias, president of the Panama Football Federation, for insulting a female national team player.
According to "Report", the press service of the Panama Football Federation announced this.
The penalty period will last six months and will end on July 14.
AFP reports that after national team player Marta Cox criticized the Panamanian women's football league, Arias called her fat in an interview with Panamanian media. The federation's statement noted that Arias made a serious mistake and apologized to the public.
