"The final will be like a firework. It will be magnificent. The world will stop and three billion people will watch the end of the World Cup. This tournament is completely magnificent, unique and incredible. We have the best players, the best teams, full stadiums and a real celebration", - said Infantino.
According to him, the 2026 World Cup has surpassed the most incredible expectations of the organizers.
"The world is watching. Considering the past and the present, this is the best World Cup in history. Moreover, it is preparing us for the future. I imagined that the tournament would be big, but not this big. I didn't expect such an atmosphere, celebration and energy", - said the FIFA President.
Infantino also noted that the competition took place without major incidents.
"Happiness reigns in the world. Of course, when one team loses, the fans get sad. But people from all over the world came to celebrate football. There were no incidents. People from all over the world came here and everyone is celebrating football", - he emphasized.
The FIFA President specially noted the performances of the debuting teams and the unexpected stories of the tournament.
"All former champions played in the World Cup, but new teams and new countries also emerged. We saw stories that only football can write and turn into a legend", - added Infantino.
