FIFA has published the official match schedule for the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that the opening match of the tournament between Mexico and South Africa will take place on June 11 at 23:00 Baku time. The next game will be between South Korea and one of the UEFA play-off winners at 08:00 on the same day.
On June 12, Canada will face a UEFA play-off winner at 23:00 Baku time. The USA vs. Paraguay match will start at 05:00.
From June 12 to June 23, four matches will be played every day. The matches will start as early as 20:00 and as late as 08:00 Baku time.
In the final round of the group stage, six matches are planned per day, and the games will be held from 23:00–00:00 to 06:00–07:00.
The 1/16 final matches will start from 20:00 to 07:00 Baku time, and the 1/8 final matches will start from 20:00 to 04:00.
The quarter-final matches will be held on July 9 at 00:00, July 10 at 23:00, and on July 13 at 01:00 and 05:00.
The semi-final matches will take place on July 14 and 15 at 23:00 Baku time.
The third-place match will be held on July 20 at 01:00, and the final match will be held on the same day at 23:00.
It should be noted that the World Championship will be held next summer from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
