A fan, Alfie Holt, punched Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish in the face. The incident occurred after the match against Manchester United in the 31st round of the English football championship.
According to "Report", the Daily Mail newspaper reported this.
The match took place on April 6 at Old Trafford stadium and ended in a 0:0 draw. Grealish came on in the 74th minute, replacing İlkay Gündoğan.
According to the publication, the conflict between the fan and the footballer occurred on the way to the room under the stands. 20-year-old Holt was arrested for punching Grealish.
According to the source, the fan's trial will take place in Manchester in July this year. The clubs have declined to comment on this information.
It should be noted that 29-year-old Grealish has been playing for Manchester City since August 2021.
He has played a total of 154 games for the club, scored 32 goals and provided 41 assists. After 31 rounds, Manchester City is in fifth place in the English Championship table with 52 points. The team will play its next match on April 12 at home against Crystal Palace.
