Emmanuel Petit, the 1998 World Cup winner and former Arsenal and France midfielder, has announced that he has lost all the medals he won during his career.
Sport News reports that the footballer, who had planned to store the medals in a safe for a long time, has been unable to find them, as well as a picture of the World Cup.
"I took a picture of the World Cup and put it in the safe. I wanted to do the same with the medals. I searched for them for hours. I went crazy. The medals from the England and France championships, cups, World Cup and European Championship. Everything is gone," - quotes Talk Sport from Petit.
The 55-year-old Petit ended his career in 2004. In addition to the 1998 World Cup, he won the 2000 European Championship, as well as the English championship and cup with Arsenal, and the French championship with Monaco. The former footballer did not specify where and under what circumstances the awards disappeared.
