"Sabah" captain Elvin Jamalov has left the club. Sport24.az reports that the 29-year-old midfielder shared a post about this on his social media account.
The experienced footballer stated that the separation was difficult for him:
"Every road has an end as well as a beginning. Today, I have come to the end of a road I have been traveling for a long time. Separations are difficult. Especially from a place that is home to you. Today I am leaving the "Sabah" family, of which I have been a member since 2021. I have gained a lot during my time here. For the first time in the club's history, we won silver medals, qualified for European cups, experienced the joy of the first victory and stage in the European arena, and proudly wore the captain's armband of the team, which is of great value to me. I have experienced sad and joyful moments with "Sabah". But I had more joyful moments with the club. And most importantly - in this club I made friendships that cannot be measured by any sporting success. During my time at "Sabah," I worked with all my strength for the club's success. I thank everyone who supported me on this path - the club management, my teammates, all the coaches I have worked with to this day, every employee of the club and of course the "Sabah" fans. It was a pleasure for me to walk with you, to be a member of a family. Thank you for everything!"
