Lala Kramarenko became a victim of a medical error. Sport24.az reports that Irina Viner, the head coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team, announced this in a statement to the press.
According to her, the gymnast, who suffers from a meniscus, underwent surgery. The doctor who operated on her operated on a healthy area instead of removing the injury:
"There are two protrusions there, like two horns. Instead of cutting off the injured one, the doctor cut off the healthy "horn". The doctors are ours, I don't want to name the surname. If it were up to me, I would deprive such people of their diplomas."
It should be noted that Lala is the European champion of 2021. Last year, she became the champion in the individual competitions at the Russian Championship, surpassing everyone. Lala is the daughter of Dmitri Kramarenko, the former goalkeeper and coach of the national team.
