Cristiano Ronaldo, the forward of the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, who previously played for Real Madrid, said that Vinicius Junior, a player of the Madrid club, should have received the Ballon d'Or and shared his thoughts on this award. Sport24.az reports that the Portuguese star shared a post on the X social network about this:
"Vinicius undoubtedly deserved the Ballon d'Or, but this award has no importance anymore. I've been where Vini is. He deserved it, but he didn't get it because there is no belief in him."
It should be noted that the Brazilian footballer took second place in the voting for the 2024 Ballon d'Or, losing to Rodri, the midfielder of the Spanish national team and Manchester City.
