Sabah's footballer Coy Lens Mikels has scored his 40th goal in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Sport24.az reports, citing the official website of the Professional Football League, that the 32-year-old German legionnaire's jubilee coincided with the second round of the Misli Premier League.
Mikels, who scored a double in the away match against "Shamakhi," reached "40" with his second goal. The footballer, who plays for only one club in our country, achieved this in his 86th match.
Mikels is the 68th footballer in the history of the tournament to score 40 or more goals. He is the 9th player with legionnaire status to achieve this.
Coy Lens has gone down in history as the 27th footballer to score 40 or more goals for the same club in the Premier League. He is the 4th legionnaire after Abdullah Zubir, Reynaldo Silva (both "Qarabag") and Fernando Peres ("Baku") to score at least that many goals for the same club.
It should be noted that "Sabah" won the away match with a score of 2:1.
