CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez hopes the 2030 World Cup will feature 64 teams.
Sport.Biz reports that 48 teams will participate in the 2026 World Cup. Spain is the current world champion.
"The next tournament will be held on home soil! The 2030 World Cup will be held in Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the tournament with 64 teams", - Dominguez wrote on his social media page.
