Coach punished for injuring opponent's young football players

The incidents that occurred in the "Shamakhi" - "Metak" match of the Azerbaijan Championship among football players under 15 were discussed by AFFA.

Idman.biz reports that the Disciplinary Committee of the organization has punished the participants of the scandal.

Shamakhi player Farid Agasarli has been suspended for 3 games for insulting his opponent and being sent off with a red card. Metak player Ali Shikhnabiyev was also given the same punishment for receiving a red card for insulting his opponent.

Huseyn Huseynov and Omar Gojali, Shamakhi players who received red cards for aggressive behavior in the 80+2 minute of the match, and Metak players Ali Zamanov and Vasif Hamidov received 4-game suspensions.

Shamakhi's head coach Tarlan Iskandarov and official Amil Mansimov were suspended for 5 games for insulting the referee and being sent off with a red card.

Vugar Suleymanov, Shamakhi's coach who was not mentioned in the protocol but was registered, was given a more severe punishment for entering the field and punching several young Metak players. Taking into account the exceptional case allowed by Article 1 of the AFFA Disciplinary Code, Suleymanov was banned from any football-related activity for 1 year. He was fined 500 manats as an exception. Shamakhi will play its next home game without fans.
